Heritage Institute of Technology History

Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) Kolkatta was founded in 2001, by a group of 22 motivated industrialists in Kolkatta.

It is part of a larger picture of their noble initiative and fulfilment in establishing a series of educational institutions under the wings of a public charitable foundation named, Kalyan Bharati Trust (KBT)

The idea was to provide higher educational opportunities for a broad spectrum of learners – from the Primary to the Tertiary levels in West Bengal

Kalyan Bharati Trust has mainly six institutions under its control including:

  1. The Heritage School (THS)
  2. Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K)
  3. The Heritage Academy (THA)
  4. Heritage Business School (HBS)
  5. Heritage Law College (HLC)
  6. The Heritage College (THC).

These institutions share the same campus.
