Notification of IBPS- Recruitment 2020-1163 Vacancies in Public Sector Banks f- Apply online from 6.11.2019

Read about IBPS- Recruitment 2020: IBPS- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has announced the recruitment of 1163 Specialist Officers (Scale-1) for various public sector banks vide notification dated 5.11.2019. Interested, eligible candidates can apply online at the  IBPS website beginning 6.11.2019. Please note that the last date for registration of application is 26.11.2019.

Vacancies exist in following Specialist Officers (SO) Category Scale-1 

IT officer (76), Agricultural field officer (670), Rajbhasha Adhikari (27), Law officer (60), HR/Personnel Officer (20), and Marketing Officer (310).

The selection of the candidates will be through a 3-stage Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-IX). It involves the preliminary examination, the main examination and interview. Both the preliminary and main exams will be online.

To appear for the main examination you must pass the preliminary examination. The successful candidates in the main examination must appear for the Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating banks.

Then, the respective Participating banks will fill the vacancies in the financial year 2020-21 from the list of short-listed candidates allotted provisionally.

  4. Fill in all required information and submit
  5. Take a print-out of your application for future reference

IBPS Recruitment 2020- for SO Application Fee & Mode of Payment

₹600 (Six hundred only) for candidates belong the General category.

₹100 (One hundred only) for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.

The payment of fee is possible through online only.

Qualification for IBPS Recruitment 2020

There is an age restriction of minimum 18 years and a maximum of 30 years for candidates for all the posts.

Relaxation in age limit is allowed as follows:

3 years for Other Backward Class ( Creamy Layer)

5 years for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) with at least 5 years military service.  Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89. Persons affected by 1984 riots.

 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disability.

Structure of Preliminary & Main Examinations

Preliminary Examination

  • For the Post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

There will be three tests each for 40 minutes duration for English (Maximum 25 marks), Reasoning (50 marks) and  Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks).

Candidates have the option to write in English and Hindi for Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude

  • For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari

Candidates for these posts also will have three tests each for 40 minutes duration. It includes English (Maximum 25 marks), Reasoning (50 marks) and  General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry (50 marks). Here also, they can use Hindi and English for the last-mentioned two tests.

Main Examination

  • For the Post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

The candidates have a single test in Professional Knowledge of 45-minutes duration with 60 marks. Option for writing in English and Hindi is also available

  • For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari

For these posts there will be Objective and Descriptive tests each of 30-minutes duration in Professional Knowledge (60 marks). Candidates can use English & Hindi for this test.
